Discover the enchantment of Roman bas-reliefs
The Frammenti Collection is born from my admiration for the ancient bas-reliefs sculpted in travertine, which can be admired everywhere in Rome: in the vestiges of imperial temples, set into medieval dwellings, or scattered on the ground in the form of large blocks. These fragments of history are testimonies of a past that continues to inspire contemporary art.
A MODERN INTERPRETATION OF THE ANCIENT
INSPIRATION FROM THE ARA PACIS AND THE ACANTHUS
One of the most powerful references for this collection is the Ara Pacis in Rome, considered one of the most complete examples of Roman floral decoration. In particular, I reinterpreted the acanthus, a wild plant that grows spontaneously throughout Italy. In ancient Rome, the acanthus represented life and was a recurring theme in both frescoes and sculpture. This symbol of vitality has been transformed into a unique design that unites the past with the present.
Each piece in the Frammenti Collection, which includes rings, pendants, and earrings, is made with the lost wax technique and finished by hand with expert chisels, giving life to a jewel that does not imitate, but creates a continuity between the ancient and the modern. Every fragment is a unique work, hallmarked with the Licciardello brand and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, which describes every detail of the jewel, enriched by a drawing also executed by hand.
